OLIVIER BENSA

Olivier Bensa is a classical guitarist, lutenist and French composer born in Paris in 1951. Child of a family rather hostile to music he knew however from the age of eight that he would become a musician. In the 1960s, a rebel student wandering in various boarding schools in France, he encountered the guitar and was spotted by Alexandre Lagoya. The recording for the "Chant du Monde" of the music by Léo Brouwer, much appreciated by the composer, was a great success and continues to be a reference. His notoriety has also grown thanks to his multiple works for all levels and formations played all over the world. He currently performs as a soloist and in a duo with Cécile Cardinot .

CECILE CARDINOT

Born in France in 1989, Cécile Cardinot is a singer, classical guitarist and choir director. She began her concert career with Olivier Bensa in 2008 in a duo of guitars and vocals. In 2016, she created with him a show for Lute Forte and song "Voice Lute Forte", dedicated to Renaissance music and more particularly to that of John Dowland. The diversity of her activities led her to become the winner of the Claude Nougaro competition as well as the “Guitarist Acoustic 2015” revelation. She is currently a classical guitar teacher at the Cahors Music Conservatory.
