1ère partie : Roberto Cano

Guitare classique

Roberto Cano.jpg

We love Roberto Cano because he is the very kindness and humility of great musicians. He will perform a variety of music, ranging from Brazil to Cuba via Europe.

Roberto Cano began classical guitar lessons at thirteen with professor Rolando Moreno, and later continued with master Carlos Rodriguez, known as “el grillo”, a very famous luthier who made instruments for the best concert performers on the island.

Thanks to natural gifts and his discipline, Roberto Cano enrolled three years later for the entrance exams to the National School of Music in Havana.

He is accepted among the best students in the country and, a rare thing in Cuba, he gives sold-out concerts during his student years.

Very quickly from the hand of masters like Francisco Rodriguez, Joaquín Clerh and Victor Pellegrini, he played the great repertoire of Cuban and international classical guitar, performing pieces by Paco de Lucía, Heitor Villa-Lobos, Leo Brower and Agustin Barrios among others. . He also participates in competitions where he wins numerous prizes thanks to the virtuosity of his technique.

In 2012 he graduated and went to work in his native province of Villa Clara as a teacher and concert artist. He performs regularly with the most important musicians but also solo across the island of Cuba.

The great guitarist and composer Leo Brouwer creates a scholarship especially for him.

2nd part: Trio in uno

Brazilian guitar, soprano saxophone and cello

Brazilian, Argentinian, jazz music.

Born from the friendship between the Brazilians Pablo Schinke (cello) and José Ferreira (7-string guitar) and the Italian Giulia Tamanini (saxophones), this unique ensemble is overflowing with energy and complicity.

By combining the flavor and spontaneity of popular music with the expressiveness of classical music, they arrange and perform the music of great composers from Brazil such as Egberto Gismonti, Sergio Assad, Hermeto Pascoal, Marco Pereira, Radamés Gnattali.

In July 2015, they released their first album titled "Lilac". The opus is enthusiastically received by the public and hailed by critics in France and internationally.

They have performed and collaborated with renowned artists such as Vincent Segal, Nicolas Krassik, Marcos Sacramento, Sergio Assad, Marco Pereira, Paulo Bellinati, Cristima Azuma, Daniel Murray.
